Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981, and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since the year 2011 she was one of the original co-artistic directors for Speech of Fire. While Artistic Director of SSC she was also SSC's costume designer, producer composer/music director and text coach. In her final year, she was a lighting designer and director for the production of SSC's King Lear. She had been the director of the ensemble, however in previous year, she directed her debut.
